I’ve never wanted to see a movie consisting purely of the same joke told dozens of times more.

Video games are still finding their place as a narrative art form. I’m very curious to see where they’ll be in ten years.

Holy Factimony
Statistics show that educated couples have lower divorce rate, yet the Bush administration that’s so in love with the “institution of marriage” is cutting Pell Grants.

War of the Words - Steven Spielberg has earned the right to invoke 9/11
I agree with most here, but from now on won’t any movie in which there’s a large disaster be given this treatment?

Ch-ch-changes
As you may have noticed, I’m back to using TypePad now. Lots to say about it, but little time at the moment, and a chapter of Harry Potter to finish before video game-related obligations steal away my time.
The first day of work was good I think. I’m not sure I was ready to be thrown into a major life change, but that’s how it happened, prepared or not. There’s a lot to say about that, too, but I’m going to wait until I know more about the job, and probably won’t write about it here, anyway, as per my feeling that it’s prudent to avoid writing about one’s job on the internet. I’ll just say that I think it’s a good step for me in the right direction, but that I’m unused to feeling unsure of myself and as such aren’t dealing with it as well as I’d like to be.
Oh, and it looks like I won’t have steady email access during the day until I get my own desk, so don’t be offended if I don’t reply to you right away. (Unless you think I actually am ignoring you, which of course is possible.)

WWVD
I’m a whole chapter into the new one and I’m wondering, what all did Voldemort do the first time around? Maybe this book will tell us more, but all 9 billion pages of the first five books I don’t think anyone’s ever really rattled off a list of what happened during his first reign. We know he killed some people and stuff, but beyond that no one ever wants to talk about it. Did Voldemort try to take over the whole world? Did he succeed? What did Joe Muggle perceive was going on?
Flippity-Floppity
A few years ago I started a blog using Movable Type 2.something or other. Then TypePad came out, and I decided that I wanted to use it. Then Movable Type 3 came out, and I switched to it. Then the beta of Movable Type 3.2 came out, and in my excitement to play around with it I pretty much broke everything. I’m somewhat sure that if I did some work I could get it running again, but at the moment the ease of TypePad is pretty appealing to me. At some point I’ll figure out how to get all my old pages working again, but for now, we’ll just call this a fresh start.
